I held a caseload of four emergency shelter residents who have been victims of intimate partner violence where it is my role to provide support, information, and resources to help them towards self-sufficiency. I coordinate programs to support our clients like our monthly medical unit, and collaborate with agencies like the Murphy center with Homeless Gear/Hand Up. I take crisis calls, conduct eligibility screenings, intakes, and offer support for up to 32 clients in shelter with ‘in the moment’ crisis support. I developed a trafficking screening tool and ‘best practices’ for working with victims of intimate partner trafficking and educate staff and volunteers on the intersections of DV and sex trafficking. I am a shelter support volunteer trainer. This year I was added to ‘back up/on call’ rotation, which holds responsibility to respond to DART (domestic abuse response team) calls, train DART volunteers, and support shelter with decision making and cover shelter shifts if needed, for one week at a time. Additionally, I have been on two 12 hour on-call DART shifts monthly since June 2016 and have also done DART follow up which includes attending BOND hearings with or in place of victims to support and inform them of the next steps after an arrest of their partner. I facilitate a weekly support group called Healing from Trauma through Art and Journaling. I run a volunteer program called Crosstrails, our pet foster program to help pets stay safe from power and control and abuse. I have expanded our volunteer base, screen volunteer applicants, fundraise, research grants and collaborate with local pet hospitals and boarding programs for resources and utilize Red Rover grants. I am ACP (Address Confidentiality Program) certified. I have extensive knowledge in ROIs, confidentiality, and VI-SPDAT.

This was an unpaid position for a startup nonprofit that I was helping build and develop. As Director of Development, I was involved in grant writing, program planning and fundraising to provide housing, support services, basic needs, and education to girls and women wanting to leave the life of sex trafficking. I had direct client service experience with survivors. I supervised a human services intern who was doing her 280 hour internship with us from UWO. I was trained as a certified CSEC (commercial sexual exploitation of children) by GEMS through this position.

I was a manager at a girls clothing store. I supervised up to 12 other employees and ran the sales floor. I held operational and visual duties such as promotional and marketing changes. I was hired as a key holder and then was trained to take over as visual assistant manager to be in charge of visuals, marketing, promotions, and floor sets.

Two year/four semester member of the on campus Human Services Leadership Student Organization. Obtained and held position as Fundraising Chair for three semesters on the executive board of HSLSO, facilitated fundraisers that resulted in over $1,000. Volunteer experience with HSLSO, the Seniors Center in Oshkosh, The Warming Shelter, and CHAPS Academy.

This agency has a successful match program for adults and kids, with the majority of kids from low socioeconomic families. I worked mainly on my own doing administrative tasks, data input, reviewing case notes and progress reports, managed case update appointments, and helped put together and run the annual Gourmet Bike Tour fundraiser, which brings in about $40,000 for the organization. Learned about goals and outcomes, and fundraising.
