I have been working as a legal secretary / typist for well over 24 years and my experience extends to High and Magistrate’s Court Litigation, Collections, Employment & Labour, Commercial Contracts and Foreclosures. I am well versed in legal procedures and time lines and possess good reading and writing skills. In order to capture fees and process invoices, I worked on various accounting packages such as AJS, Ghost Practice, LegalSuite, Practice Manager 4.0.1.6, Aderant Expert (CMS) and Debtcol. I thoroughly enjoy dictaphone typing and have worked on Phillips SpeechExec Pro Transcribe, Frisbee and Big Hand (File Site). I have a good understanding of the Microsoft Word commands, more particularly tracking, formatting of documents and the basic use of most of the icons. In essence I am an all rounder. I have learnt in law as a secretary to apply my mind at all times, be focused and work diligently. I am able to work independently and efficiently, multitask and my use my initiative where required.
