I love writing books that root for kids and help them grow. My work serves young people of all ages, from babies to teens. My picture books include SMALL WALT, SMALL WALT AND MO THE TOW, BIKE AND TRIKE, PEEP LEAP, and the upcoming SMALL WALT SPOTS DOT. My "Best Behavior" series features award-winning board books such as the classic TEETH ARE NOT FOR BITING and the more recent WORRIES ARE NOT FOREVER, plus many other titles that guide young children's social-and-emotional development. My "Toddler Tools" series focuses on daily transitions and routines, including CALM-DOWN TIME and BYE-BYE TIME. My "Laugh and Learn" series offers helpful advice for kids and teens, but humor as well, with titles such as HOW TO TAKE THE GRRRR OUT OF ANGER and STRESS CAN REALLY GET ON YOUR NERVES. I coauthored THE SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR KIDS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS, which has been in print for eight years and is currently being revised and updated for a new generation of young people.
