Supporting the Manager with daily operations, ensuring customers have an excellent time at the facility, and ensure staff work to the highest standard.My job role includes supervising the day to day operations such as opening times, safety standards, and ensuring staff are trained.I have excellent communication skills to interact with staff and customers, and I have great organisational skills for daily operations due to timed activities and staff planning.

To teach between 1-6 customers the basics of snowboarding. This includes a safety brief at the begging, demonstrating the stages, and walking each individual customer through each stage to achieve recreational standard. We must make sure the whole group understands by using different teaching methods, whether it's through and explanation, or seeing the demonstration to achieve this.

. This opportunity has given me leadership skills, and good communication skills, whether it’s with delegating tasks, or dealing with troubled customers. My role includes working with a team of 3 -13 other staff members; who I must ensure are doing their jobs to a satisfactory level. Problem solving is also a big part of my role as customers can turn up late, they’re in the wrong place; or we don’t have enough staff. This means we have to work together as a team to make sure all customers are satisfied with their time at the Snowdome. I must also have good time keeping and organisational skills in this role. All our activities are in time slots so I must make sure the slope is open and closed on time, and that all activities are too. I must also prioritise many tasks at once, whether it’s from customers or managers.
