I have spent a lot of my time in libraries over the years. I was a bookworm as a child, a volunteer as a teenager, and now, I am a professional in the field with a desire and the drive to learn all that I can.After working in public-facing roles and serving my community directly, I have transitioned to a technical services role that allows me a peek behind the curtain. Currently, as an Acquisition Specialist, I support collection development in a variety of formats through ordering and processing, and I assist subject librarians with collection maintenance and evaluation. I am working on a Bachelor's in Information Science in preparation for a Master's in Library Science program. My career goals include transitioning into a librarian position, ideally focused on collection development.
