After joining Norton Rose Fulbright in 2008, I have been working in the business law and intellectual property (IP) groups. Based on my extensive IP experience, I have been ranked by Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of IP, advertising and marketing law. In addition, I have been ranked by World Trademark Review as one of Canada's top trademark professionals since 2016.I am a member of the firm’s leading business law and IP practices in Canada, providing strategic advice to clients on general corporate and commercial matters, commercial IP and assisting with complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, My key areas of focus include drafting and negotiating complex commercial IP agreements and licenses, as well as providing strategic advice for global intellectual property portfolios. In addition, I specialize in consumer brands and retail where I offer business-focused advice based on my in-depth knowledge of these industries. My passion to work with people is one of the key reasons why I enjoy working in the legal profession. It is the one on one connection with my clients that energizes me every day. I also enjoy collaborating with my colleagues at a global level on complex cases that cross multiple jurisdictions. I also sit on the firm's Canadian and global management committees.
