'Evaluating a novel stem cell based therapy for promotion of healing post-myocardial infarction'. CASE studentship with Biocompatibles UK Ltd and CellMed AG.Investigated a novel therapy post-MI, which involved a range of in vitro and in vivo techniques. Completed placements at CellMed, Germany and the University of Southern Denmark, Odense.Presented posters and oral presentations at multiple national and international conferences. Supervised several undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D students in the laboratory and demonstrated to large groups of undergraduate students. Manchester Access Programme (MAP) academic tutor, tutoring high school students.

Project manager of a student based homeless outreach project in Manchester city centre. Oganised a group of volunteers who made food and drink, which we then distributed to homeless people in Manchester every week, providing a friendly and safe environment.

Studied a broad range of biological topics, as well as learning practical laboratory skills. Completed a final year in vivo research project investigating olfactory deficits in Alzheimer's Disease.
