The SIM Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization connected to the Society for Information Management. The purpose of the organization is to increase philanthropy on a national level with an emphasis on STEM education and to enable local SIM chapters in their efforts to give back to the organizations that benefit their local causes.I'm honored to participate as a member of the National SIM Foundation Board of Directors to establish annual fundraising and program goals to support local and national efforts to provide STEM education opportunities to underrepresented and disadvantaged youth. My specific contribution is to find new ways to raise money to support the Foundation's giveback efforts.

• Recognized as SIM Leader of the Year 2019 by the SIM National organization.• As president, I am also leading the board through the current COVID19 situation and finding ways to remain relevant through regular webinars in lieu of the in-person events that we have previously held. Under my leadership, we have implemented the following programs: - Members in Transition for individuals in our community who are looking for their next position. - Leadership book club exclusively for members to help build their leadership skills. - Diversity and Inclusion event series to provide actionable advice to the community to build a more diverse workforce and inclusive work environment.

As Marketing Chair, I established a regular events newsletter that went out via email and social media. These campaigns were responsible for increasing visibility for SIM and driving a significant increase in attendance at our events.My efforts on the SIM Women events paid off by increasing the percentage of women SIM members to 50%. The SIM South Florida board is also 50% women.

When I joined the SIM board in 2017, I created the position of Partnerships Chair to work with other non-profit organizations in the area to contribute to the local IT community and build SIM’s brand. Through this role, I have ensured that SIM South Florida is one of the leading technical organizations in South Florida.As SIM Women Chair, I developed the SIM Women program Ladies who Lunch from small occasional gatherings to multiple events a month across the South Florida area with attendance as high as 50 women at some events.
