The purpose of the organization is to increase philanthropy on a national level with an emphasis on STEM education and to enable local SIM chapters in their efforts to give back to the organizations that benefit their local causes.I'm honored to participate as a member of the National SIM Foundation Board of Directors to establish annual fundraising and program goals to support local and national efforts to provide STEM education opportunities to underrepresented and disadvantaged youth. These campaigns were responsible for increasing visibility for SIM and driving a significant increase in attendance at our events.My efforts on the SIM Women events paid off by increasing the percentage of women SIM members to 50%.
