With more than 22 years in the industry, I have in-depth knowledge of all areas of the college admissions process. I'm currently a consultant at Bright Horizons College Coach, an organization founded in 1998 with the goal of providing excellent college admissions advising to as many people as possible. Our success speaks for itself: 99% of corporate employees using the College Coach benefit would recommend it to a co-worker, and on the business to consumer side, 98% of our students were admitted to their top choice institution, and 100% had offers of admission. For the past nine years, I've hosted a weekly podcast, Getting In: A College Coach Conversation. The podcast offers insight and practical advice from my colleagues, all former admissions and financial aid officers, about applying to and paying for college. I also am an instructor for the International College Advising Certificate program at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. As a regional director of admissions at the University of Pennsylvania, I reviewed more than 1,300 applications a year, advocated for those students in selection committee, evaluated potential athletic recruits as an athletics liaison, and oversaw the university's portfolio of admissions publications. I also served as second chair in the selection committee for Penn's interdisciplinary Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, and made final admit decisions as a university selection committee chair. Prior to joining Penn, I worked as a public relations professional and served for a decade as a member of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network. I hold a bachelor of arts degree in English from Cornell University and am a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling. I am a past member of the Pennsylvania Association of College Admissions Counseling.
