Hi! I'm Elizabeth Rommel and I'm so happy you are checking out my page! I recently graduated Rider University summa cum laude with my B.A. in Popular Music Studies (conc. Songwriting). While in school I worked for Rider's radio station, 107.7 the Bronc, where I hosted my own show called "Bronc Bops" for over 2 years and worked for a year as the social media manager for 107.7 the Bronc. In this role, I regularly curated and shared posts showcasing the station's events, shows, and sponsors. I also gained radio broadcasting knowledge from having to edit, input and organize new music and learn how to work the various broadcasting equipment like mixing consoles. I was also a brother of the community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega and was on exec. board as the PR chair for 6 months, where I ran the Alpha Phi Omega social media platforms to showcase the chapter, events, and brothers. During the pandemic, our chapter wasn't able to recruit new brothers in person, so I helped bring the recruitment process online by creating digital posters and videos that the brothers could easily share on their social media accounts. I also created #mememondays where I posted funny content that either the brothers or I created on our Instagram stories to boost morale within the chapter and to show potential new brothers the chapter's brotherhood and the different personalities within APO. Alpha Phi Omega wasn't the only community service organization that I was in, I was also a part of Circle K International throughout the entirety of my 4 years in school and spent the last year as the Fundraising Chair where I set up different fundraising events to raise money for the club or for charity. Two events that I was really proud of were our W.A.S.H fundraiser and our holiday raffle to raise money for the club. Previous to this role, I had worked as Phonathon caller to raise money for Rider University during its Phonathon fundraising event which lasted 4 weeks. In this position, I contacted alumni to solicit donations for the school. This gained me interpersonal skills as well as knowledge on how to fundraise. During my time at Rider I was also the president of the Animal Welfare Club (1.5 yrs) where I created bi-weekly events, fundraised, ran the social media accounts, and handled the clubs finances. I was a Popular Music Studies mentor (2 yrs) to assist freshmen in my major.Throughout highschool and during breaks in college, I worked as a Sales and Merchandise Associate at HomeGoods for 5 ½ years. This job really helped me gain interpersonal skills and team work skills.
