"Problem Solving in C++!" I think to myself, "What have I gotten myself into!” I’m staring down at my textbook for ‘CIS 160 - Computer Information Systems’ on top of the stack of books the clerk just handed me for my first college semester. My adviser had warned this was a tough class. And I told him: "I'm game, bring it on!” I thought: “Even if it is hard, it still sounds interesting.” And thus began my pursuit of a computer career.While I quickly discovered programming wasn't really my thing at the time, I indeed found it very compelling, as I love learning how things work, and would grasp the logic concepts easily even if my program wouldn't compile or turned into an infinite loop!Now after many bumps along the way, I am coding again. But this time it's scripting languages for web technologies. I began by taking classes in HTML5 and CSS3, design principles that covered responsive design with media queries and graphic design using Adobe Photoshop. As a result, I developed a passion for web design. Then, I added PHP, MySQL, SQL, JavaScript, Angular JS, ASP.Net (with C#) skills with additional classes to build a solid foundation of common web technologies.And even though I have a good foundation, I'm always looking to learn more and build upon the skills and proficiencies I have. So now instead of infinite loops, I have to look out for and correct the dreaded 400 or 500 status errors HTTP can produce if something is not right!With these skills, I desire to create dynamic, attractive, functional websites and web apps for clients. I enjoy using my keen eye for design and style alongside my practical side of how things can be accomplished to craft a solution that is both appealing and user-friendly.
