I provide direct care for a nonverbal Autistic client, age 16, including feeding, communicating & assisting with hygiene. I assist in the development & implementation of his ISP (Individualized Service Plan) & accompany him to school & work while engaging in sensory exercises to assist with social interaction.

I provide direct care for four disabled adult women (Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, MRDD and comorbid mental health conditions). My responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, housekeeping & laundry, as well as budget, purchasing and preparation of food. I also assist with interaction and participation within the broader community.

I provided course content & instruction for the Fun With Art program, part of the Akron After School (AAS) program at Smith, Lawndale, Barrett & Bettes elementary schools, grades 3-5. I worked within a defined budget & developed daily lesson plans based on ODE standards for visual arts

I taught general art, advanced ceramics, graphic design, drawing and crafts to grades 9-12 at Garfield High School and general art to grades K-5 at Ritzman Elementary School under Maria Newman & Amy Peppemey, respectively. I prepared lesson plans, objectives, teaching and classroom management per the state & national standards. I also utilized advanced professional proficiency in American Sign Language to teach Ritzman’s large deaf & hard-of-hearing population, and integrated core subject areas into tactile lessons by creating art projects based in literature and science.

I provided course content & instruction for the after school art program for girls at Mason Elementary School. I developed content and curriculum alongside program co-creator Eliza Gargarella, Ph.D., Associate Professor at the University of Akron.
