• Analyzed the basal Tropic Shale samples near Big Water, Utah for planktic and benthic foraminifera in order to document the nature of the paleoenvironment of an excavated pliosaur: Brachauchenius lucasi. • Samples spanned 7 meters of the Tropic Shale. Determined transgression and regression cycles of foraminiferal assemblages. • Determined water conditions including temperature, salinity and or turbidity. Analysis consisted of sample prepping, performing microscopy, counting samples, and essential lab duties.• Findings were reported in graph and narratives using MS Excel and other methods.• Six week paid Bromery Prize Undergraduate internship, resulting in Geological Society of America Poster with co-author Dr. Mark Leckie, Session 260, T242, Conservation Paleobiology, The Microfossil Record, presented October 2013 at the annual meeting, Denver, CO.
