The Communication Department at William Paterson University is home to 400 students who study Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Public Relations, Communication Studies and Media Production.I teach Journalism, Advanced Reporting, Capstone, Journalism Practicum, Media Writing, Media Ethics and Law and News Literacy. From 2011-2013 I was the Communication Department, which included 24 tenured faculty, 54 adjuncts, an FCC licensed radio station (88.7 FM) and oversaw the $2 million-update of an HD TV Studio.I serve or have served on multiple department, college and university committees, including;* The Communication Department's Executive Council (2018-present)* The Communication Department's Undergraduate Curriculum Committee (2000-present))* The College of Arts and COMM Curriculum Committee (2015-2020)* The University Core Curriculum Council (2017-present)* Search committees for the University Admissions Director, Dean of the College of Arts and COMM, and multiple faculty search committees over the course of my career.

I published a series of essays in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune Magazine, Tropic (then the Sunday magazine of the Miami Herald), Sunshine (Sunday magazine of the Fort-Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel. In addition a series of stories on journalism education appeared in Quill and news organizations, including the Journal of Commerce and NewJerseyNewsroom.com.

Worked at the political advocacy blog while on sabbatical Fall 2016 writing about the presidential election.
