For the past 19 years, Liz Copan has been practicing photography and continuing to tell stories through imagery. An Ohio native, she completed her BFA studies at The Cleveland Institue of Art before relocating to Colorado in 2006. An active member of the visual arts community in Colorado Springs, she spent 5 years as the United States Air Force Academy’s base photographer before taking on freelance photo assignments internationally. Upon her return to the U.S. in 2018, she worked with the Colorado Springs Gazette and the United States Olympic Museum before taking a photojournalist position with the Summit Daily in Frisco, Colorado from 2019-20.Her freelance work includes corporate and event photography, sports, real-estate, editorial, creative portraiture, weddings, pets, product, and travel photography.
