Elizabeth Pinkerton is a Principal at Rosslyn Partners, which specializes in public affairs, strategic communications and government relations strategies. She advises clients on coalition-building, engagement strategies, issue formulation, strategic partnerships, executive search, and government relations. Her clients have included publicly traded companies, private colleges, and nonprofit organizations working on issues including consumer and digital technology, trade, transportation, tax, energy, national security and defense, civics education, government structure, as well as political campaigns.Elizabeth served in two presidential administrations at the White House, most recently, as theDirector of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, the nation’s premiernonpartisan program for leadership and public service. During her tenure, she created specialCapitol Hill and Department of Defense Days, while working with stakeholders to increase engagements and more than tripled recruitment and led the virtualization of the program during COVID.A veteran of multiple administrations and transitions at the state and federal level, Elizabeth was Deputy Director of Personnel for the 2016-2017 Presidential Transition. She worked on the 2012 transition planning for a possible presidential transition outlining options for the potential Cabinet and White House staff.From 2007 to 2009, she served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush; serving as theWhite House’s principal liaison for statewide elected officials with the federal government,working on issues including economic development, disaster recovery and homeland security,and the response efforts to the 2008 financial crisis. From 2001 to 2007, she heldintergovernmental relations positions within the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Departmentof Commerce working on issues including international trade, fisheries and the environment, and the Census. As an advance associate for President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, she traveled domestically and internationally, making preparations for numerous events. She also served as a detailee in the Office of Protocol at the State Department.She serves as President of the Society of Fellowships, is a member of the Board of Directors ofThe Washington Tattoo. And previously served as Vice President and Board member of theSouth Carolina Business Council, and on the Board of The Washington Club.Elizabeth is also a two-time recipient of South Carolina’s Order of the Palmetto, the state’s highest award for public service.
