Sea levels are rising and so am I.I am a passionate environmental sustainability professional with a focus on the future and desire to save us from ourselves. With enthusiasm, I implement forward-thinking programs and policies to the City of Bexley, Ohio to inspire, innovate, educate, and create change. I bring creativity and drive, and have a track record of encouraging others to lead more environmentally-sustainable lives. Furthermore, my background in education positions me to continue learning and bring best practices to Bexley residents in ways they can understand and implement. In my time with the City of Bexley, we’ve expanded our household food waste collection program to restaurants and almost 40% of households, reinstituted our city-wide plastic bag ban, participated in an equity-coaching program, implemented a green electric aggregation program, created a monthly educational program for all fourth and seventh graders in the local school district, and mandated recycling for all business, multi-family, and institutional properties. This year, we’re on track to publish a Climate Action Plan, create four bike boulevards, and more!
