Program Executive in the Heliophysics Division overseeing the Heliophysics portfolio of operating missions which study the nature of the Sun and how it influences the very nature of space. NASA’s fleet of spacecraft is strategically placed throughout our heliosphere -- from Parker Solar Probe at the Sun observing the very start of the solar wind, to satellites around Earth, to the farthest human-made object, Voyager, which is sending back observations on interstellar space. Each mission is positioned at a critical vantage point to observe the flow of energy and particles throughout the solar system -- all helping us untangle the effects of the star we live with.

Trusted team focused on providing policy support to the NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD), a government enterprise that manages over 100 programs with an approximately 8-billion-dollar annual budget. The Policy Branch manages SMD's relations with stakeholders and external groups such as Congress and the Executive Office of the President including Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), and the National Space Council; in addition to advisory committees, domestic partners, independent review boards, and auditors. The Policy Branch also supports the SMD Associate Administrator by providing integrated guidance, strategy, and focused advocacy for NASA's science program. Areas of leadership include budget policy; AI and cybersecurity; audit liaising; diversity equity inclusion and accessibility policy, Heliophysics; Earth Science; and Exploration Science.

Internal strategy team for Marshall Space Flight Center as the subject matter expert for domestic and international policy. I co-authored the MSFC Strategic Management Agenda which guides the 6,000 person $3B annual budget government enterprise with a focus on people, processes and pursuits. The strategic management agenda integrated the perspective from technical background, domestic and international space policy, and agency guidance with the MSFC portfolio to highlight a tactically focused center role which has remained relevant across multiple administrations and variant budget climates. Analysis of external factors impacting the center is performed regularly to ensure that leadership is ready and prepared for success midst change. Future scenario studies analyze policy, program, portfolio, budget and management issues to include workforce planning, domestic launch industry, public private partnership, and strategic acquisition for NASA programs including nuclear thermal propulsion, hypersonic technology development, NASA's Gateway, and commercial lunar landers and DoD multi-layer assessment for space. The analysis was utilized to inform external stakeholder relations, including other US government agencies and international partners, to ensure that the MSFC position and impact was communicated in a palatable manner, often in politically sensitive matters.

Lead program development efforts for civil use of military assets including acquisition and management of funds to execute technical management functions including supporting engineering and program development, developing strategic objectives, long-range technical and programmatic planning and executing the process for technology development activities. Technology development activities included a pre-Phase A study and a testing campaign of a small liquid engine to asses utilization of hardware assets for orbital debris remediation. Other duties included the conceptual design of human-rated heavy lift launch vehicle including sizing, trajectory, and structures. Coordination with academia for implementation of advanced analysis techniques.Prior to the advanced concepts office, I supported the liquid engine systems branch supporting design development testing and evaluation of the J-2X rocket engine and operation of the space shuttle main engine, now RS-25. I provided technical advice on engineering and testing of Space Shuttle Main Engine and J-2X rocket engine to resolve technical solutions that impacted assembly and project timeline, technical risk and compatibility between engine elements and with the vehicle stage. Technical guidance on the J-2X included lifecycle milestones and CDR review for engine instrumentation and assembly and fabrication of the A3 test stand at Stennis Space Center to support vacuum testing. Training Rotations included Payload Operations Center, Combustion Devices, and Space Shuttle Main Engine Project Office.

Executive office for Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) to promote the voice of the next generation to a global audience including the United Nations, space agencies, industry, and academia. SGAC is a global non-governmental, non-profit (US 501(c)3) organization and network which supports the United Nations Program on Space Application and actively takes part a Committee on Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPOUS), its subcommittees, and high-level forums. During my tenure, I recruited, developed and led a team across 6 continents to develop the core message of SGAC and to be the representative voice of the largest network of students, young professionals and alumni in the space industry.
