Participated in a Summer Internship Program for the Strategic Planning Department, in which I developed a tool that analyzed how the number of loaded containers from 21 different shiplines was affected by changes in price charged to move containers through The Port of Virginia. The tool is an excel spreadsheet consisting of a series of formulas used to predict the optimal container unit rate for each shipline.-Predicted the price at which revenue is maximized for each of the 21 different shiplines that use The Port of Virginia.-Uncovered potentially $30M in additional yearly revenue that could be realized by adjusting current shipline container unit rates.
