I utilize solution focused, DBT, CBT, ACT, and some IFS in my work with individuals, and I want to learn more about narrative therapy. As an eating disorder therapist, I also know about the importance of using family, and currently utilize Family-Based Treatment (FBT) as my main modality in my current role, in which I receive extensive supervision from Walden's Director of Adolescent Programming. I have experience working with those diagnosed with eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, OSFED, EDNOS, and ARFID), depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, attachment disorders, ADHD, autism, borderline personality disorder, and trauma. In the future, I am considering a PhD in clinical social work, with research interests in children with developmental disabilities, the connection of sexual abuse/other trauma and eating disorders, protective factors in teens who contemplate but do not attempt suicide, and long-term mental health outcomes for those who experience acute, life-threatening illness, injury, and/or surgery in their youth or early 20s.
