About Elizabeth A. Garlovsky

As an attorney on the human side of the law, I strive to provide my clients with an advocate and empower them to take control of their planning. Whether a client is wealthy or not, everyone needs an estate plan. I always tell my clients that if they own anything, whether it be personal, real or intangible property that they wish to control the distribution of at their death, they must put it in writing. I also represent trustees, executors and beneficiaries in court helping helping them resolve disputes that (unfortunately) can arise following the death of a loved one. I have spent most of my career as a trusts and estates attorney. I have also held a position in a private wealth management environment where I provided customized advice based solutions for banking, investment and fiduciary clients working through various stages of their financial lives. In addition, I have also represented children as guardian ad litem in abuse and neglect cases as well as individuals participating in assisted reproductive technology contracts.Areas of concentration: Transfer tax planning and wealth transfer strategies, probate, trust and estate controversies, retirement planning, planning for same sex and unmarried heterosexual couples and non-traditional families, trust planning for spendthrift family members, asset and creditor protection.
