I began my career in education in 2011 as an Agricultural Education teacher in Sampson County, NC. In 2015 I joined Asheboro City Schools and launched the agriculture program and FFA Chapter at the Asheboro High School - Zoo School. In 2021, I began serving as a Career Development Coordinator for the ACS CTE Team. I hold Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from North Carolina State University and in 2020 became a National Board Certified Teacher. My favorite thing about teaching CTE is that it empowers students to build their own future, one that suits their interests, goals, and skills, by helping them see the endless scope of opportunities available to them. Outside the school day, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, serving in my church, or reading a good book.
