I am currently a sophomore studying Physics/Secondary Education and Spanish. Inspired by the teachers that have shaped my educational career, I have developed a passion for learning about the physical world and helping others discover their own love of learning.As a Physics/Secondary Education student I have learned about the properties of matter and energy, while also having the pleasure of learning about the classroom and adolescent experience. I firmly believe that one's secondary education is an extremely formative period of their life and that the teachers one has during this time have the power to inspire them to seek passions, just as mine did for me. I am thoroughly interested in bringing the Spanish language into the classroom. I believe that in the United States an injustice is done against ENL students that are not fully integrated into the typical classroom setting due to language barriers. With my studies in Spanish, I hope to reach bilingual proficiency and later on receive a Bilingual Extension Teaching degree to create a more inclusive classroom environment. I believe that all students are capable of greatness so long as they receive the support that they need.
