Senior Software Engineer for an Agile development project, developing satellite communication software specializing in creating software that manages power allocation in the Satellite Data Unit. This included trending algorithms to keep power levels at peak levels based on SATCOM class type. Part of this SDU code development included ARINC 429 label processing that commanded the High Powered Amplifier and Antenna, as well as processing the status reported back. The SDU code also interfaced with a modem to handle the communication from the Inmarsat Satellite Communications Network. The algorithms were designed to allow for portability between different products with minimal effort. Presented with the Chief Engineer’s Recognition Award for 2018.Senior Software Engineer for an Agile project that developed software requirements and formal tests to bring a Motor Controller to certification. This involved developing tests against code written in C#, to test numerous performance and functional customer specifications. Mentored junior engineers assigned to the project to bring them up to speed in a timely manner

Lead Systems Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for a team of engineers that created and implemented the Datalink component for a touch screen graphical display that will be used to replace the Multi-Functional Control Display Unit in aircraft cockpits. Lead many phases of the product life cycle including Design, Software Requirement definition, Implementation and Verification. Coordinated technical work with several departments to verify that the Interface Control Document and the Application Requirements were sufficient and necessary for implementation. Provided Technical leadership to team members to ensure a quality product. Lead Engineer of a diverse team of engineers that created a Next Generation Flight Management System (NGFMS) that could be used on multiple platforms, reducing future implementation time. Lead the design phase using UML/Rational Rose to develop an object oriented solution to the Datalink Airline Operation center (AOC) component of the NGMFS project. Participated in the implementation of the design by creating the software requirements and the implementation of them in C++. Member of the Store Vision Teller (SVT) team that provides a front end interface for a teller application. This application is used by every teller in the bank, and not only provides the front end to the teller, but is responsible for journaling every transaction made and sending it to all downstream applications for processing, storage, reconciliation and other banking needs. This application is written in C++ on AIX. Responsibilities include design, implementation and testing of new transactions, as well as updates to existing transactions.

Member of a small team that made enhancements and updates to the existing Airsim Tool. The tool simulates the components required to test ground-to-air, air-to-ground, and aircraft-to-aircraft data link communications. This system is used throughout the company to aid engineers in the development of other products. The simulation product was created using Visual C++. As a member of the team I contributed to many phases including but not limited to requirement gathering, design, coding and testing.
