Travel consultant researching and organising affordable luxury, yet responsible travel for those of a gently adventurous spirit. My extensive experience of living and working abroad, and a passion for travel since I was six years old forms the backbone of my career history. After seven years working alongside the Korean staff of Daewoo Corporation in the UK in Business Development, I spent a further seven years living in and around Seoul, Korea as a freelance writer, editor, broadcaster and English teacher. On return to the UK I spent 14 years with the Diplomatic Service, including 3-year postings to Slovakia and Croatia. I worked in chiefly political/policy roles with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, as well as in consular positions, which stands me in good stead when assisting customers with their travel arrangements.I have first-hand experience in both the private and public sectors, a deep understanding of the global family from all walks of life, the stresses of expat life, working across cultures, moving & living overseas, work/life balance issues as a lone parent, family trauma and the impact on staff morale of conflicts in the workplace. After leaving the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, I retrained as a coach and qualified as a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy™, Hypnosis and NLP Coaching. I'm also a Professional Member of the Association for NLP, having founded Ice Cool Confidence in 2013, working with sports coaches, parents, and young athletes, helping them to be motivated, confident, gain focus and better results. I was awarded NLP Coach of the Year 2015, Winner of Best Enterprising Business 2016, and a finalist in the 2017 National SME Awards (Best Enterprising Business).
