I offer a strong understanding of the Product Development and Merchandising field as a senior leader and professional in development of new products and business operations. I drive a strong focus on relationship building, operations, execution of growth strategies, and an ability to connect with others in fast paced and challenging environments. I successfully utilize my analytical skills, quick learning, and critical thinking to ensure proper guidelines and streamlining of operations. I am a creative thinker with an innovative and strategic vision to how I approach administrative oversight with decision-making ability to cement operations, analytics, and relationships as needed. During my time as Associate Manager of Product Development for Staples I was directly involved in all operations regarding licensing projects. I utilized my strong knowledge of the field to negotiate with high profile brands including Martha Stewart, DwellStudios, and Cynthia Rowley. I worked directly with their design teams, external suppliers, and quality teams to drive business growth. I served as the first point of contact and liaison, traveling to their New York offices to work directly with their branding teams to review products and discuss design plans. As a Costing Coordinator for Staples, I was one of the first two employees in a brand-new role. I was able to define the job description for this role including setting up processes and collaborating with the customs compliance team to ensure proper taxes and duties were included within the procurement process. I was able to utilize my proven knowledge of the field to train and mentor new hires into the role and keep communications consistent. I consistently have built and sustained strong relationships with a diverse group working directly with a variety of individuals including domestic and international vendors, internal merchants, and designers, among others. I have a keen attention to detail and focused work ethic and have used this to train junior employees to ensure proper understanding of operations.
