DIRECTOR, BOARD RELATIONSReport to: CEO and Executive Director• Responsible for the strategic focus and full engagement of the Board of Directors at USA for UNHCR. USA for UNHCR is governed by an engaging and cohesive Board of Directors who share a commitment to the goals and objectives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). With an extensive knowledge base and various expertise the Board provides advice on policy, advocacy, fundraising and programming.• Oversee the organizational structure for USA for UNHCR’s Advisory Councils and Coalitions, including; the Board Alumni Network, Data Advisory Board, Global Advisory Council, Humanitarian Coalition, and the Islamic Philanthropy Council. • Build strong productive relationships with a wide variety of diverse stakeholders across the organization in order to ensure committees and volunteers are highly effective in carrying out their purpose and able to engage and develop the highest caliber experience.• Ensure governance best practices are harmonized and promulgated throughout USA for UNHCR and the various committees (Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, Program Committee and Finance Committee), and other committees, task forces, working groups, and advisory boards of the organization.
