I completed my PhD in Adult Education Leadership at Walden University. I taught nursing in a traditional BSN program while studying and I capitalized on the abundant opportunities to integrate what I learned into the classroom and clinical opportunities. I chose to stay active in the local faculty leadership and government scene through representative positions on WTAMU's faculty senate as well as roles within the department of Nursing. My experiences with adult learners eventually led me to a role as remediation coach for at-risk nursing students. This was one of the best experiences because I utilized my learning at Walden University through the application of success skills with many students. I returned to acute care as an Accreditation Manager at NWTHS where I used many of my education tools through teaching about regulatory processes to the staff.
