Currently an Associate Applications Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin supporting the Operations Strategy & Technology team with program management and business development responsibilities. Prior to engineering, I managed 100+ employees as a Service Department Manager at HEB while taking basics at the San Jacinto Community College. This position taught me how to lead and manage diverse personalities, ages, and skillsets effectively. I received full tuition academic scholarship for 2/3.5 years I was at UNT for Engineering. I worked full time (40-60hrs/week) as a server and bartender while taking 12-18 hrs. of course work to pay for living and additional education expenses. I became the UNT SWE section VP and led technical projects for the chapter organization. I learned effective time management and prioritization skills from this experience. During my internships with Textron, I developed an automated system that performed SAP planning for parts in production currently utilized at the company. The project saved the company millions per year and was submitted for the Textron Chairman's Award. I was 1/13 interns selected out of 450 total to present my project to ELT. Post Graduation I was selected for the Textron Leadership Development Program where I rotated to different business units, each in a different location, and held four positions. This program allowed for me to accelerate my career path from the experience of four roles. The most impactful project I worked during the program was on the USAF GMMP EWG, where I lead the efforts that resulted in a multi million dollar contract award from the USAF. Post LDP completion, I joined the Bell Composites Manufacturing Innovation Team. I lead R&D MFG projects - Plasma and Laser Ablation Surface Preparation of Composites, Composite Machining, Automated Sanding, and more all while managing budgets for the R&D team. The projects were valued > $10M. I joined the Lockheed Martin team in 2022 as a corrective action manufacturing engineer where I took over projects in the fastener portfolio. Briefly into the role, I proposed a project to the Operations Technology team that was accepted. After acceptance of the project, I was promoted to a Senior Applications engineer on the Ops Tech team 4 months into my career at Lockheed. I took lead on the surface preparation portfolio while also helping out with machining projects.
