About Elizabeth (Neta) Hayden Greene, M.Ed.

The sky is the limit. You never have the same experience twice. - Frank McCourt Transitioning from academia, Neta joined The Arc of San Antonio, one of 600+ chapters within The Arc of the US, providing transformative services, supports, and advocacy for people with IDD and their families, including but is not limited to: individual and public policy advocacy; licensed educational and vocational services; person-centered case management; recreational activities; and other supports, such as respite care, to serve the San Antonio community. An advocate for leading in servitude, she supports The Arc's mission and vision along side the Board of Directors, the President/CEO, the Vice President/CFO, Development's CDO, the Adult Life Enrichment Program, and Case Management Departments. Neta believes workplace cultures thrive and grow through collaborative building of relationships and empowerment. In educational leadership positions, she executed processes to manage improvement programs, built capacity in personnel through training/reflection, and analyzed data to create transformative vision. Utilizing personable leadership skills, she served clientele, managed funding, recruited new hires, and was empathetic to perspectives. A thoughtful mediator, she held a collaborative mindset and served as a passionate public servant. With goal-setting closure, Neta paid meticulous attention to detail, handled complex tasks, and communicated purposely.Serving on the Educational Service Center Region 20 Literacy Board, Neta collaborated with school district administration across Bexar County to improve instruction and systemic issues. The Board heard district concerns and translated State directives to personalize needs. As a Language Arts Program Director, she served on the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Strive Court Task Force under Judge Arcelia Trevino to re-engage juveniles to stay on track for high school graduation. Sponsoring the San Antonio Do the Write Thing Essay Challenge with Bexar County Juvenile Probation, she supported students to share violence in their lives and explore avenues to heal. The experience provided further insight into the lives of students and their years of learning gaps. Federated Foley's Department Stores gained Neta experience working as an Associate and Administrative Trainee. A promotion to the Human Resources Selling Services Department required her to recruit, hire, train, execute payroll, and supervise Extra-on-Call Associates. She served on a team to plan and execute City of Austin events sponsored by Foley’s.
