Elizabeth L. O’Brien currently serves as Vice President, at the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, a workforce development program that strengthens and diversifies the nation’s workforce by connecting employers with top talent.O’Brien is also a venture partner at TFX Capital and Chairwoman of the Board at Freedom Learning Group - an educational content and services provider powered by a global remote network of Military Spouses and Veterans. FLG is committed to closing the skills gap for military spouses the only model within the eLearning industry to offer upskilling and reskilling pathways for a fully remote workforce. O’Brien previously served as CEO of FLG.O’Brien, a Military Spouse, sits on The Blue Star Families Advisory Council, The Military Spouse Corporate Career Network Advisory Council, and The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council. Previously, O’Brien served in a significant leadership role at Hiring Our Heroes. She also served as Chairwoman for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs, the first Military Spouse named to the role. Prior to joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, O’Brien spent over a decade coaching college basketball at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Hofstra University, and The University of Hawaii. O’Brien is a graduate of Hofstra University Zarb School of Business where she played Division 1 basketball and soccer. O’Brien resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her active duty Army spouse and children.
