As a research Assistant, I worked to develop and implement testing tools to investigate underlying factors that contribute to the large variability observed in complex listening tasks such as listening in noise. This included recruiting and testing of adult and pediatric subjects using techniques such as CPA and conventional audiometric measures. I also performed statistical analysis utilizing software such as Excel, Audacity, MATLAB, and Origins.

While working as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate Introduction to Clinical Practice course, I organized onsite and offsite clinical observations for undergraduate students, conducted office hours and one-on-one meetings, graded homework and projects, and worked with the instructor to provide consistent expectations and instruction.

As an extern, I completed comprehensive adult and pediatric diagnostic hearing evaluations including immittance measures, otoacoustic emissions, unsedated ABR, CPA, VRA, and conventional techniques. I provided hearing aid consultations, hearing aid checks, hearing aid programming, and vestibular diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages. I had the opportunity to counsel and interact with an extensive and diverse patient population.

The LEND program offers fellowship positions that involve collaborative interdisciplinary and leadership training focused on improving healthcare for individuals with disabilities.
