Graduate teaching assistant at the University of British Columbia. Courses include BIOL205: Comparative Invertebrate Zoology (2017&2018) and BIOL204: Vertebrate Structure and Function (2018&2019). In both of these courses, I was expected to co-instruct a three-hour dissection lab to 40-50 students, twice a week during the months of September through April. I received runner-up for the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in 2018, and have been nominated for the same award for 2019. Co-author of “The molecular and morphological delimitation of the Astrotorhynchus bifidus species complex” 2018. Developed my own research project at UBC studying the relationship of marine protists belonging to Labyrinthulomycota and the Sea Star Wasting Disease. Thesis (in progress): "The Labyrinthulomycota of the North-west Pacific rocky intertidal: an environmental survey investigating the association between phylum Labyrinthulomycota and the sea star wasting disease of Pisaster ochraceus" 2019.
