As EVP of NRG and President of NRG Home and Reliant, Elizabeth Killinger is responsible for NRG’s Home Customer Division with $10 billion in revenues and the leading multi-brand competitive retail business that provides consumer power products like electricity, natural gas, portable solar and battery power products, as well as services like home security, home services and protection products. Elizabeth has proven success in a variety of operational and business leadership roles at NRG, delivering consistent financial results, customer growth, cost efficiency, operations excellence, innovation and employee development. During the 12 years she served as president, her division achieved ~10% annual growth in earnings and in customer count.She currently serves on the Audit Committees & Governance and Nominating Committees of the Board of Directors at Helmerich & Payne, Inc.(NYSE:HP), which was founded in 1920 and is the most trusted partner in drilling productivity and reliability, as well as the Board of Directors of TDECU, the largest credit union in Houston and the third largest credit union in Texas. In February 2024, she accepted a gubernatorial appointment to serve on the Texas Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, helping support and showcase Texas as a thriving state for business. Deeply committed to making a difference for future generations, Elizabeth assists many impactful organizations. She serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Partnership, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, and Finance Chair of Hope Media Group. In addition, she serves as Marketing & Branding chair of the Energy Advisory Board at the University of Houston. Elizabeth served as Chair for the nation's largest 2014 March for Babies Campaign, and Chair for the 2015 American Heart Association's Heart Walk. And, in 2017, she was honored to serve on the Super Bowl LI Houston Host Committee as Volunteer Chair.Elizabeth is also a homemaker, passionate about her role as wife and mother and enjoys spending time with her family and church.
