About Elizabeth Rubenstein
I have been playing and learning with K-8 children, art education graduate students, and practicing K-12 educators throughout the SF Bay Area for 30+ years! My favorite kind of teaching and learning is dynamic, improvisational, and collaborative. I build practice with students combining three powerful paradigms: Teaching for Artistic Behavior, Arts Integrated Learning, and Design Thinking. The arts are naturally learner-centered, culturally responsive, and emotionally expressive. Sharing ideas, forming plans, and taking action are the at the core of any learning relationship. I enjoy exposing students to skills, materials, and provocations then standing back to let them find their own path of artistic expression.
