At Pioneer Tavern Group, I managed the Facebook and Twitter channels for Frontier, The Pony Inn and Lotties Pub. Without paid advertising, I more than doubled the amount of 'likes' and increased active page users by 300%. I would regularly attend events to capture images for use on social media, as well as chat with customers and encourage them to connect with the Pioneer Tavern Group social media channels. I also helped to coordinate the marketing efforts for the largest “Black Wednesday” Trolley Crawl in Chicago which garnered live NBC Chicago news coverage.

At Falk Associates, I was a PR account manager for several clients including Meijer, several non-profit organizations and Goodyear Tire Center. Duties included writing and distributing press releases and media alerts - personally pitching larger stories with follow-up calls and email correspondence. I worked here when Facebook for Business was still very new, but managed to get several clients active on Facebook and Twitter. I conceptualized an initial social media campaign for community organization I AM Logan Square to gain 1200+ “Likes” on Facebook, 800+ Twitter followers, 80 Blogger subscribers within the first year of inception. I also assisted with fundraising and sponsorship solicitation to support local, regional and global events. We were able to raise over $60,000 for I AM Logan Square at their first annual Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival. Other skills utilized at Falk Associates: Content and layout design for email blasts, invitations, brochures, advertisements (print and online), in-store promotional graphics, photography, shooting and editing video footage.
