Liz Herrera is a Licensed Health Insurance Agent helping folks with their Medicare needs in Bexar County and the surrounding San Antonio area. Her commitment is to listen, learn the needs of her clients and help them find a plan that best suits their specific healthcare concerns. Liz is also the founder of Zen, Sweat and Cheers bringing yoga and fitness to people of all ages and abilities. Over the years her Vinyasa Yoga teaching has shifted to include Senior and Chair Yoga and Fitness classes, broadening her community throughout the Greater San Antonio area. From South, to East, to West and North Liz enjoys meeting and engaging with all her students!!A brief history: Liz has been teaching since 2014 and is certified in multiple formats including Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga with Weights. Her meditation practice evolved through Yoga as it is a moving meditation. Liz believes the key to keeping her students involved is a fun and safe environment where everyone feels they belong, motivating her students inside and outside of the classroom while creating a welcoming community. In 2018 Liz moved to San Antonio and began teaching with The YMCA in and around the Downtown area. This led to teaching Senior Fitness aka Silver Sneakers classes through the city. When Covid and quarantine hit, all her classes shut down, so she had no choice but to go virtual. There was so much uncertainty, and she was not sure it would work but people showed up! At that point she registered her business with Bexar County and created a small apparel line. Zen, Sweat and Cheers was officially born. Liz credits her students for helping her business grow by encouraging her and always being so supportive, through referrals, private yoga parties, private yoga sessions and purchasing apparel. Liz is extremely grateful and feels the City of San Antonio has welcomed her with open arms. Liz’s commitment as an instructor it to make each class accessible to everyone and every BODY. Guiding her class, while giving individual attention to make sure each participant is successful and finds a reason to come back. Whether you join her in a studio or through a Corporate Wellness program her goal is to share the joy and calm yoga and meditation has brought into her life. .
