Duties included redesigning and editing a website; checking inventory and creating excel spreadsheets; helping with advertising and sales promotions; providing excellent customer service and advice for landscaping ideas; extensive research on trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and herbs; caring for the plants; educating public about plants; pesticide applications; plant propagation; and transfer and ordering of plants.

Duties included Excel data entry from recorded data in the field, and scanning papers; driving state vehicles several hours; hiking over incredibly dangerous terrain and in desert; identifying and surveying for rare plants all over Utah; and using taxonomic keys to identify unknown plants, and pressing them for university and other uses.

Duties included preparing tree core samples to be measured and recorded; measuring samples on the microscope; training new employees; managing people and their problems; organizing and cleaning the lab; effective communication through internet and text; correctly entering data in Excel files; and carrying out tasks asked of my supervisor.

Working with Joshua Leffler on campus and in Ogden's beautiful canyon, I became a skilled electric fence builder, road builder, and plant identifier. I also learned how to use a machine saw, and created a plant identification guide for the species in the canyon. I created my own small project later from that sight to present at a National Wildlife Society Conclave competetion
