Delivery of innovation programmes within the nuclear sector, with a focus on robotics & AI and also on the people behind the innovations, via our Game Changers incubator programme.

As part of the Lab for Academic Culture (launched December 2020), I led on actions to progress support for careers, recognition of contributions to research, research integrity and the future of research assessment.

As the Researcher Development Manager, I built and led a team to deliver high quality professional and career development opportunities for ~5000 researchers across the University. This included directing an annual programme of >250 events, training programmes, competitions and other initiatives designed to support talent development and enhance the student experience. I worked with academic and professional services staff, as well as closely with the postgraduate researcher community, to analyse training needs and develop innovative learning and development strategies and policies for local units or groups of staff and students.I led several key initiatives within the University to promote a positive research culture. This work led to the establishment of the Lab for Academic Culture in late 2020 and was recognised with a Guardian Higher Education Award. I was the key point of contact for the University's HR Excellence in Research Award and a member of the national writing group for the 2019 revision of the national Researcher Development Concordat. I represented the University on several national groups or forums to share practice and advance policy relating to researcher development, entrepreneurship and research integrity, including convening the Universities Scotland Researcher Development and Training Committee.
