She is passionate about food, flavor, farming, and entrepreneurship,With over a decade in positions ranging from firefighter, EMT, fire company secretary, 9-1-1 call taker and dispatcher, training systems specialist, and assistant chief fire marshal, she brings a fresh perspective to running her farm business. Since 2016, she has cultivated her interest in sustainable local agriculture, establishing a small business to bring fresh mushrooms directly to consumers at local farmers markets in Delaware and Maryland. She and her fiance, Gary, have now established Honeymoon Farm, raising pastured chicken and selling mushrooms grown by him and his family members in the mushroom industry.
