Criminal Defense litigator since 2004 at the Legal Aid Society. I've had the opportunity to work in the Bronx, NY office for several years and now work at the office and courts in Manhattan. Throughout my career I have managed high case loads and represent indigent clients in all aspects of their criminal litigation from arraignment to trial, including all court appearances, motion practice and legal writing, negotiating with assistant district attorneys in plea and evidence-based discussions. Have won all trials, with no criminal convictions in cases involving violations, misdemeanor jury and bench trials, as well as a felony DUI trial with collateral consequences at stake.As a poet, I have been published so far in Amarillo Bay, The Griffin, Reed Magazine and OxMag. Won travel writing contest in 2011 sponsored by St. Christopher's Inn's Brand of international hostels. Breadloaf alumni 2016-was taught by the great James Longenbach! I continue to write and submit and am also working on a travel series of prescriptive nonfiction for low-budget, high value, self-propelled and independent travelers, primarily throughout Europe.
