With my team, I am responsible for driving the risk management, emergency management and internal audit programs at the City of West Torrens. Key drivers are to implement and embed a risk culture within the organisation and continuously improve so that risk is a 'front of mind' process. Organisational and community resilience are the focus of this role going forward.

Responsible for strategic governance practices at the City of West Torrens and analysing and reporting on potential governance issues. Responsible for analysing and effectively implementing new legislation across the organisation as well as maintaining policies to reduce the risks of maladministration.

Responsible for a team of 3 employees to ensure strict legislative compliance of all activities at the City of West Torrens but also to ensure accountability and transparency of Council decisions. Prior to 2015 (due to a restructure), my role also included the promotion and development of the continuous improvement program, through the use of Lean principles and tools. With a team of 13 facilitators, I was responsible for effectively driving the continuous improvement program to instil cultural change so that positive results are experienced through waste elimination.

A secondment role (March to October 2016) to assist in a recruitment transition, I am responsible for Governance, Media, Events, Procurement and Risk Management as well as a team of 8 employees.

Reporting to the relevant General Manager, I was responsible for the effective growth of the continuous improvement program at the City of West Torrens. I was responsible for the development of a team of facilitators to assist build the capabilities of the organisation in terms of continuous improvement.

I joined Sherpa Group enthusiastically in December 2010 as a Consultant in the Operations team. My university studies in Law and Business coupled with my diverse experience in retail, finance, fitness and hospitality allow me to relate and understand clients in a unique way. Roles includes: system development and processes, documentation creation, research, client engagement and business administration.

With a territory encompassing western Victoria and Tasmania, my role with Elders was to analyse the banking portfolios of small to medium agricultural clients (farming), liaise with financial institutions and act as a relationship manager. Operating in this challenging industry, I applied my skills set and knowledge to negotiate on behalf of clients, Elders Ltd and Rural Bank.Role included: finance product knowledge, customer service skills, relationship management, problem solving.
