Delivering teaching activities and providing formative and summative feedback to students on the MSc Health Psychology, MSc Mental Health Studies, and BSc Psychology degree programmes

Supervising and facilitating recreational activities for service users with enduring mental health problems. Providing support and advice on local services to promote social inclusion and long term recovery

As part of my MSc heath psychology placement I worked with the South London and Maudsley trust in the chronic fatigue and persistent physical symptoms treatment service. My placement involved the modification of an existing computerised cognitive-bias modification intervention for those with long term conditions who experience symptoms of chronic fatigue. I helped developed a college ethics application for the study and utilised experienced-based co-design to help inform the development of the intervention and produced a report and presentation based on my work experiences.

-Supporting carers and schools to implement specific behaviour management strategies and undertaking individual work with young people.- Develop group protocols and co-facilitating groups and carer’s workshops.- Undertaking structured observations. - Contributing to the development of behaviour support plans.- Developing service user engagement initiatives, and contribute to service evaluation by developing and maintaining databases, analysing data and contributing to evaluation reports.- Undertaking research projects.

- Providing specialist services to in-patient females on the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Tier 4 Personality Disorder ward, low-secure forensic ward and a specialist Learning Disability ward - Conducting clinical interviews, psychometric and neuropsychological assessments - Compiling and reviewing risk assessments- Developing and delivering group and individual therapeutic interventions- Administering and analysing a range of clinical assessments and interviews- Producing professional clinical reports - Delivering staff training programmes - Attending and contributing in ward rounds and other professional meetings - Supervising BSc Psychology placement students

- managing a caseload of up to 20 students who have severe learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities and complex medical needs who may present behaviours that challenge- Analysing behavioural data - Creating individualised Behaviour Support Plans based on principles of positive behaviour support- Making structured observations to inform functional assessments to establish contributing factors to challenging behaviours displayed- Attending and contributing to multidisciplinary and best interest meetings- Producing protocols and risk reductions measures - Supporting staff to work within the framework of positive behaviour support through creating and delivering staff training - Conducting positive behaviour monitoring audits- Creating visual resources, responding to emergency behavioural support incidents and implementing behavioural strategies. - Updating clinical files, producing pre-assessment, baseline and transition reports and making referrals to community teams

As a member of the professional services team, I assisted with enquiries from Postgraduate Taught students, attended and minuted exam boards, coordinated student timetable systems, managed staff payments, managed finance system and large datasets, edited exam papers, arranged exams, maintained filing and archive systems, supported administrators and members of faculty, and facilitated exam boards.

- Supporting young residents with Asperger's syndrome and other associated mental health problems to complete their individual care programmes in learning, social skills and activities to encourage independence. - Providing advocacy to residents - Facilitating one-to-one and group sessions to foster the growth of social skills.- Supporting residents in classes at college and to access offsite activities

- Providing support to patients admitted to the triage ward information on various therapy treatments that were available to them. - Supporting outpatients meetings and providing information on support and community groups that are available to patients once discharged from hospital to reduce their dependency on services they had received whilst an inpatient.

I supported adult service users with mental health problems and learning difficulties on a one-to-one basis in structured therapeutic group sessions based on indoor and outdoor horticultural activities to help adults with.
