As a first-generation college student who has earned a BA in counseling and clinical psychology, en route to a higher education, there is no denying that I have a deep passion for working in the counseling psychology field. Growing up, I had a grandfather who worked in the psychology field who inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I have always loved working with other people, suprisingly being one of few who genuinely enjoyed my time working in retail due to the many people I was able to interact with. Having worked at a summer camp, a grocery store, a halloween store, and even at the mall Santa set, I have interacted with many crowds, situations, and different types of people. Interning with the Princeton Child Development Institute, I was able to further expand my knowledge as well as develop an even deeper passion for the mental health field. Each job has taught me a plethora of assets that I can bring to the table in regards to problem-solving, stress management, and support to people in need, as well as my years of education and desire to work in the field.
