Assisted in student engagement via on campus tabling events to raise awareness about sporting events and our Team Teal student app.Worked with other interns to run half-time games and promotional eventsBrainstormed ways to engage the student population in hopes of raising student participation. The Seahawk Club is the fundraising department for UNCW, with an additional program the Student Seahawk Club. In this position, I help recruit students to pay $50 to gain access to all home men's basketball games as well as some prizes received for being in the club. Community members and alumni who donate to UNCW athletics can be part of the Seahawk Club and those who donate a certain amount get access to a pregame social before the home Men's Basketball games. For these events I help set up the event and during the social I ran the children game area.

Leaned how to successfully run and clean the Café area. Became proficient in all Front Desk procedures such as ticket pricing, waiver information, and all other guest policies. Gained significant customer service experience – specifically learning how to interact with unhappy customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kitchen Staff: Cleaned dishes after every meal as well as kept the kitchen stocked and cleaned.Support Staff: Helped run activities for a variety of ages and at different skill levels. Acted as a fill-in counselor when needed. Assisted in the setup of all nightly camp activities with other members of support staff. Camp Counselor: Was the Senior Counselor to a cabin of 10-12 Middle School-aged girls, assisted by a Junior Counselor and C.I.T. Lead activities for campers aged 7-15, developing activity plans and providing a safe, and fun environment. Communicated with children's parents on opening day to learn about their child. Lifeguard: Guarded at both a pool and a lake for children aged 7-15. Enforced rules and observed a total of five activities. Practiced team-building skills with other lifeguards and rehearsed our Emergency Action Plan. In the evenings as a Support Staff member, I would assist in nightly evening programs by playing with cabins, setting up, and/or preparing for the rest of the evening. Additionally, I would help set-up, serve, and clean-up the evening snack.

Oversaw both indoor pools through swim lessons, free swim, lap swim and exercise classes at a variety of ages. Managed pool chlorine levels. CPR, AED, and Oxygen Certified through August 2020.

Worked with 100 children ranging in age from 5-12. Assisted teachers with activities throughout the day as well as running playground time for the teacher break. Facilitated lunch as well as overseeing pickup and dropoff times.
