The 2018 Charities@Work Employee Engagement Summit is a peer-learning conference for CSR and employee engagement professionals from leading global companies. Part-time consultant integrated into the NCFP team to launch new two-year initiative, "Community Foundations Family Philanthropy Network." Through tailored NCFP resources, convenings, and peer-learning, the initiative goal is to help community foundations engaged in family philanthropy to enhance their practice and move towards standardized elements, tools, and procedures by exchanging knowledge, building capacity, and creating connections. Managed day-to-day activities of the initiative:• Engaging a national Advisory Committee to provide overall strategic direction• Developing a suite of new resources and programming for families working with community foundations, and for community foundation staff and boards• Engaging key stakeholders and partners

• Led change management process to align three siloed programs serving a combined membership of ~850 U.S.-based private foundations and corporations. Unified member offerings to create efficiencies, integrate programming, and build upon established best practices to strengthen organizations and leaders to advance the field.• Owned trusted relationships and served as an adviser to foundation leaders on national trends, emerging issues, and best practices in philanthropy. • Engaged member networks and advisory committees to translate field trends into actionable insights that informed the organization’s goals and strategy. • Led Disaster Philanthropy Network and cross-departmental team during times of natural or man-made crises (e.g., Boston Marathon bombing, Haiti earthquake, Super Storm Sandy). Informed foundations’ disaster response strategy by synthesizing real-time information on local needs, recipient organizations, and nonprofit partners for immediate response and long-term recovery.• Collaborated in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of 11 concurrent offsite Learning Tours to move participants out of a conference setting into community. Created experience for 900+ philanthropy leaders to step into their leadership potential as place-based changemakers, connect with regional nonprofits and each other, and exchange solutions on topics such as disaster preparedness, cross-sector collaboration, and donor engagement.• Established professional development content areas to ensure programming met the strategic learning needs of diverse audiences, informing 10 national conferences, more than 30 workshops, and networking events over 7 years.• Crafted Shared Values Statement, designed strategic planning retreats, and facilitated informal knowledge-sharing sessions to foster organizational culture and support internal talent management efforts. • Managed five-person staff and matrixed teams on cross-departmental initiatives.

• Bolstered the effectiveness of Fortune 500 companies’ philanthropic investments by advising, providing research, and conducting comparative benchmarking of best-in-class practices of corporate foundations and giving programs. • Developed and implemented programs to enhance the management, operations, and strategic impact of corporate philanthropy, such as conference workshops, webinars and teleconferences, and written resources. • Staffed the Corporate Committee, a premier volunteer advisory group of 20 global corporate foundations and giving programs.

• Managed day-to-day fundraising activities, outreach, and special events for national nonprofit organization with $3 million budget. • Devised and implemented a revenue diversification plan to increase giving among high net-worth individuals, Fortune 500 companies, and private foundations. • Secured more than $600,000 through inaugural 600-person benefit event utilizing a volunteer fundraising committee, Honorary Committee of Members of Congress, and corporate sponsors. • Managed one full-time staff person and part-time consultant.

• Staffed Board of Directors and managed all aspects of semi-annual Board and Committee meetings including developing meeting materials with President and Executive Director, arranging meeting logistics, and managing budget.
