The Service Assistent is a hostess on a hospital unit. She serves food and drinks to patients and make them feel welcome. At the same time she monitors diets, orders food or food related products, cleans around the beds and in the kitchen, and monitors the HACCP.

The research for my thesis I completed at a Dutch and Bolivian foundation called NME Mundial. Their name means nature and environmental education world wide. The foundation realizes i.a. school gardens in the poorer areas of Cochabamba. The main question was: "Which information about nutrition can be added to the curriculum of NME Mundial so primary school children can be educated about the importance of healthy eating and the value of its own vegetable garden is supported?"During the period I was in Bolivia, we found out that there are hardly any teaching materials on the primary schools. The schools only to ask the parents to buy a language and/ or math book, due to the low incomes, Therefor all lessons are given classical. We decided to develop a food pyramid so the teachers can educate the children about nutrition. In February 2013 the first five pyramides will be awarded to fives schools that have participated in the project.

Het hoofddoel van mijn stage bij de Consumentenbond was onderzoek doen naar de wensen van het publiek van de Gezond Leven webpagina. Het hoogtepunt van mijn stage was het weekmenu dat ik mocht ontwikkelen en dat gepubliceerd werd in de december special van de Gezondgids.

Gesprekken voeren met cliënten, voedingsanamneses afnemen, voedingsadvies geven en presentaties verzorgen.

De 'Fair Test' onder de aandacht brengen bij verschillende bedrijven in Nederland en Engeland. Dankzij mijn inzet kon het bedrijf een gratis hotelovernachting in hartje Amsterdam aanbieden als prijs voor deelname aan de vragenlijst.
