Contribution in 2 main projects and knowledge transfer between the production sites in Antwerp and Sarnia. The first project concerned fundamental research on the kinetics of the reaction process and the effect of impurities thereon. This was simulated on lab scale and in a later phase the online simulation model was successfully implemented in the production plants.The second project involved the applications of butyl rubber.
