Elkhonon Goldberg, Ph.D., ABPP-CN is a neuropsychologist, cognitive neuroscientist, author, and educator who has held a number of academic and professional appointments in the USA and worldwide. His scientific contributions have helped advance our understanding of the function and dysfunction of the frontal lobes, memory, hemispheric specialization, as well as the general principles of functional cortical organization. He is a foreign member of Istituto Veneto, an Italian academy of science, literature and the arts, a recipient of “Tempos Hominis” medal for international medical sciences education, and was awarded the Copernicus Prize for his contributions to neuroscience and neuropsychology. He lives in New York City and currently divides his time between research in cognitive neuroscience, clinical practice in neuropsychology, and teaching worldwide. Dr. Goldberg was a student and close associate of the great Russian neuropsychologist Alexander Luria, one of the "founding fathers" of neuropsychology as a scientific discipline.
