As a reporter on the Equality Desk at Bloomberg News, I identified breaking and trending stories on social media and through other outlets, and developed brand-specific angles to cover each story uniquely and with a 360-degree lens towards equality. I also reported out original enterprise stories focused on housing, immigration, and personal finance, by maintaining a robust source base and collaborating with other reporters and editors on topical stories that moved the conversation forward in each area. Previously, as the Trending Reporter for the Equality Desk, I reported out original long-form stories and explainers that reflected and interrogated the current cultural conversation, resulting in over 100k page views monthly.

As the Lifestyle Editor at Apartment Therapy, I oversaw all content for the site's lifestyle vertical, averaging around 1mm views per month. Stories included evergreen and SEO-driven stories, as well as timely and reported features. I also worked with writers on all levels of story production, including pitching, editing, and invoicing.

As the Director of Social Impact at MTV News, I managed a team to rebuild MTV News’s coverage of daily news, politics, and identity issues for an audience of 70mm+ people a month. We worked collaboratively to identify new, marginalized, and underserved voices for publication, and ways to move the conversation forward on the issues and news stories our readers cared about. I optimized headlines, photos, and SEO data to maximize social media and search opportunities for MTV News; identified unique video and interview opportunities for talent and music teams, and worked closely with producers and bookers throughout the production and edit process; and developed and launched the Feel Better interview series about mental health and self-care. I also advised the video and social teams on coverage for key events, and identified unique narratives and stories that best served the brand voice and amplified the issues that matter to readers. Under my direction, MTV News developed Got Issues?, our 2020 primary franchise with custom creative for both editorial and Instagram Stories.

As Teen Vogue's Deputy Editor, I worked closely with editors and writers on both daily news stories and larger, longer-tail projects. I booked talent for interviews, editorial projects, and social media activations, and write and sourced my own stories and profiles. I also worked closely with Conde Nast's social news desk, identifying trending news stories in a timely manner and seeing stories through to publication.I previously served as Teen Vogue's Digital Entertainment Editor, and later, Digital West Coast Editor.

I maintained the Cut's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Periscope accounts (and taught Katie Couric how to Periscope when I reported from the red carpet at the Met's Costume Institute Gala, where over 72,000 people tuned in to watch the Cut's feed). I also helped curate links for our writers to report on, assisted in blogging and headline best practices, and helped to develop stories of my own on a daily basis.

As a part of the lead production team, I produced over 400 articles a month from thousands of writers who submitted directly to me, growing a relationship and learning the writing styles and needs of each one.
